What Bonaca Is
Bonaca is a peace-of-mind app for adult children who live away from their elderly parents. It translates everyday behavioural signals into simple daily reassurance for you.
Bonaca is not a medical device, emergency service, or healthcare provider. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Who Can Use Bonaca
You must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you are the adult child or legal guardian of the elderly person being monitored, and that you will use Bonaca only for lawful, personal purposes.
Consent of the Elderly Person
Before enabling any monitoring for your parent, you must explain what Bonaca does, what data it collects, and obtain their consent. Monitoring someone without their knowledge is a violation of these Terms and may be illegal.
Data We Collect
- Behavioural data from connected devices (movement, routine signals)
- Account information (name, email, phone number)
- Usage data and device information
We do not collect or store raw medical records, hospital data, or clinical health information.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to generate daily reassurance summaries, send relevant alerts, and improve the Bonaca experience. We do not sell your data or your parent's data to third parties.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. No system is completely secure — by using Bonaca, you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet carries inherent risk.
Subscription & Payments
Bonaca operates on a subscription model. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. No refunds for partial months unless required by applicable law. NRI pricing is available in USD; Indian pricing in INR.
Limitations of Liability
Bonaca is not a substitute for emergency services or medical care. In any emergency, please contact local emergency services immediately.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru.

Consent Agreement
Last updated: July 2026
Please read this carefully before enabling monitoring for your parent or elderly family member.
What You Are Consenting To
By using Bonaca, you confirm that you have informed your parent about this app and received their agreement to be monitored.
What Monitoring Involves
Bonaca passively observes everyday behavioural signals — movement patterns, daily routines, activity levels — through connected devices. It does not listen to conversations, take photographs, or access private communications.
Your Parent's Right to Withdraw
The elderly person being monitored has the right to withdraw consent at any time. If they do, you are responsible for disabling monitoring in the app immediately.
Your Responsibility as Account Holder
- You will not use Bonaca to monitor anyone without their knowledge
- You will keep your login credentials secure
- You will notify Bonaca if consent is withdrawn
- You understand that Bonaca is a reassurance tool, not a medical or emergency service
Emergency Situations
If you believe your parent is in immediate danger, call local emergency services. Do not rely on Bonaca as a substitute for emergency response.
Parental Data Rights
The elderly person whose data is collected has the same rights as you under our Privacy Policy — including the right to access, correct, or delete their data.
