What Bonaca Is
Bonaca is a peace-of-mind app for families. A parent connects a wearable, and Bonaca turns the health and activity data it records into simple daily summaries and alerts. The parent can share these with up to two family members they choose.
Bonaca is not a medical device, emergency service, or healthcare provider. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Who Can Use Bonaca
You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to use Bonaca only for lawful, personal purposes.
Consent of the Person Whose Data Is Shared
A person's wearable data is collected and shared only after they agree to it themselves in the app, and only with the family members they invite. You must not connect someone else's wearable, or view their data, without their knowledge and agreement. Doing so violates these Terms and may be illegal.
Data We Collect
- Health and fitness data from a connected wearable, such as heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, blood glucose, ECG, sleep, steps, calories, workouts, nutrition, hydration and body composition, depending on what your device and connected account record
- The email address of the Google account you connect for syncing wearable data
- Profile information: name, phone number, email (optional), date of birth, gender, height, weight and an optional profile picture
- The phone number of family members you invite, and a push-notification token for your device
- Subscription purchase records from Google Play or the Apple App Store
We do not collect medical records, prescriptions or diagnoses from doctors or hospitals, and the app does not access your location. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and who can see it.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to provide Bonaca: to show it to the family members you choose, to create daily summaries and alerts, and to run your account and subscription. We do not sell your data or your parent's data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. No system is completely secure — by using Bonaca, you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet carries inherent risk.
Subscription & Payments
Bonaca operates on a subscription model. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. No refunds for partial months unless required by applicable law. NRI pricing is available in USD; Indian pricing in INR.
Limitations of Liability
Bonaca is not a substitute for emergency services or medical care. In any emergency, please contact local emergency services immediately.
Termination
You may ask us to delete your account at any time. See bonaca.in/delete-account. Once we verify the request, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Subscription purchase records are kept as required by Indian tax and accounting law, typically up to 8 years.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru.
